John Michaels receives a call and exits the studio. When he returns he notifies Louanne that Deborah was in a accident and will not be in to film. He tries to get another anchor which will take about 10 hours.

John asks Louanne to fill in for Deborah because she is the only one a part from Deborah who knows the segment. Louanne tells John that she has a fear of public speaking and does not want to stutter on live TV.
